JANESVILLE — Janesville will soon add a new name to its crowded roster of chain restaurants.

A Beef-a-Roo franchiser this week announced its plans to open three new locations in Wisconsin, including Janesville, Beloit and Monroe.

The restaurants, which feature a variety of hot beef and other sandwiches, plans to use what it calls an innovative modular container location concept.

Beef-a-Roo’s franchiser, Next Brands, says it plans to use low-cost shipping containers to help quickly open a complete, fully operating restaurant locations and cutting development time by half, according to the International Franchise Association.

A location or timeframe has not yet been announced.

“We are excited about our continued growth and cannot wait to introduce new guests to Beef-a-Roo in Wisconsin,” said Austin Capoferi, President of Next Brands said in a news release. “With the inventive modular locations it has helped us be more strategic in our growth and expand to new markets effectively. With the three new locations, it will offer guests a unique dining experience mixing the history of Beef-a-Roo with the cutting-edge modular restaurant.”
