JANESVILLE — A parent of a Parker High School student was arrested Tuesday after police say he threatened to bring a gun to the school to confront an administrator.
In a news release, police say Parker’s School Resource Officer was notified about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday that the parent had made the threat.
About fifteen minutes later, the parent arrived at Parker High School and was confronted by the SRO in the vestibule outside of the secure entrance into the school.
The man admitted to having a firearm in his vehicle.
A loaded 9mm handgun was later located in his vehicle.
He was taken into custody on charges of Disorderly Conduct while Armed and Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone.
