ROCK/WALWORTH COUNTIES — Rock and Walworth county officials are activating warming centers this weekend, according to Community Action.

Overnight Warming Shelters in Rock County are activated from Saturday, Jan 13 to the morning of Friday, Jan 19 based upon predicted temperature and/or wind chill below zero.
The following Overnight Warming Shelters are available during this activation period:
- Beloit Hospital Emergency Department Lobby
o 1969 W Hart Rd, Beloit, WI
o Available 24 hours only during overnight warming shelter activation
o Single individuals or families
o Enter through the ED public entrance - The Salvation Army Rock County-Beloit location (Red Shield Center)
o 628 Broad Street, Beloit WI
o Open from 9pm to 6am. Everyone must leave the shelter at 6am.
o Intake to the shelter is 9 โ 11pm. If no one arrives by 11pm, the shelter will be closed for the night.
o Families only
o Enter through front door - The Center Avenue House (dependent upon availability of staff โ will update if not available)
o 802 Center Ave, Janesville, WI
o Open from 9pm to 6am. Everyone must leave the shelter at 6am.
o Intake to the shelter is 9 โ 11pm. If no one arrives by 11pm, the shelter will be closed for the night.
o Families only.
o Enter through door on Riverside Street closest to the corner - GIFTS Menโs Shelter
o 1025 N. Washington Street, Janesville, WI
o Open from 9pm to 6am. People must be there by 9pm to check in, and everyone must leave the shelter at 6am.
o Single males. Up to four males may stay in the GIFTS front lobby as a warming shelter. This applies to people who are not current clients of GIFTS.
o People on the GIFTS โdo not serveโ list are not eligible

- Brigham Memorial Library
- Walworth Memorial Library
