TOWN OF TURTLE — This morning at approximately 12:11am the Town of Turtle Fire Department along with the Clinton Fire Department were paged out for a residential fire on Clinton Corners Rd. Due to adverse weather conditions and the first reports by police, Turtle pulled a MABAS box to the 1st level before any due apparatus made it to the scene.
First in units witnessed very heavy fire coming from the back side of the residence. The weather played a major factor in the suppression efforts. The house is a total loss but both residents are safe and no one was injured on the scene.
Turtle would like to thank the 17 fire agencies that answered the call and helped us to mitigate the secne.
The Red Cross was also called in to assist the displaced residents.
