JANESVILLE — The Janesville City Council and School District of Janesville Board of Education will add new members following the April 2, 2204 election.

Larry Squire will join two incumbents re-elected to the city council and Susan Johnson will join two incumbents re-elected to the school board.

Six people were running for three open seats on the Janesville City Council in April.

Janesville City Council President Paul Benson did not run for re-election.

In unofficial vote totals from the Rock County Clerk:

  • Aaron Burdick: 5,221 – elected
  • Paul Williams: 4,669 – elected
  • Larry Squire: 4,578 – elected
  • Josh Erdman: 3,818
  • Mathew Gonzalez: 2,662
  • Billy McCoy: 1,726

Two incumbents were among four people running for three seats this spring on the School District of Janesville Board of Education.

John Hanewall filed for non-candidacy.

In unofficial vote totals from the Rock County Clerk:

  • Greg Ardrey (incumbent): 4,798 – elected
  • Elizabeth Paull (incumbent): 5,840 – elected
  • Colton Measner: 3,826
  • Susan Johnson: 5,503 – elected

The election will take place on April 2, 2024 and also will include the presidential primary along with races for Janesville City Council, county board and others.
