JANESVILLE — The Rock County Sheriff’s Office along with Rock County Emergency Management and other public safety partners are continuing to help Town of Rock residents affected by Saturday’s tornado.

As part of this response, a Resource Event will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from Noon – 6 p.m., at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center located at 1717 Center Ave, Janesville.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF-2 tornado impacted the Town of Rock and the City of Janesville on the evening of Saturday, June 22, 2024.

With peak wind gusts of 115 miles per hour, the tornado caused considerable damage to structures and infrastructure in the impacted areas.

The resource event will provide an all-encompassing hub for community members to access disaster-related relief services and information.

Representatives from local and state agencies as well as support organizations will be onsite.

No registration is required to attend.
