UPDATE: All roads are now open as if 5 p.m. They are burning off residual propane with flares, there is nothing to be concerned about, according to authorities.
MILTON — Roads will remain closed through the Monday evening commute while emergency responders are on the scene of a natural gas leak at Milton Propane.
At 5:19 AM units were dispatched to Milton Propane for the leak. Upon arrival Lakeside Fire Department conducted an assessment and closed affected area roadways.
The area of West Hight Street in Milton was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
The Milton Dog Park (Tails N Trails Park) is also closed at this time.
Road closures include:
- County Y between Townline Rd and High Street
- Vincent Street from County Y to High Street
- High Street from Vincent Street to Elm
- Elm Street from High Street to Vincent Street
