JANESVILLE — UW Health has expanded access to primary care services in Janesville with the opening Tuesday of a new family medicine clinic.

The UW Health Janesville Clinic, located at 500 Midland Court, will start seeing patients on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The family medicine clinic consists of three primary care providers — one physician and two advanced practice providers — supported by nursing and laboratory staff.

According to a news release, the 9,900-square-foot facility will offer adult and pediatric primary care services, including office visits for preventive, acute and chronic disease management care, as well as immunizations and vaccinations, care coordination, annual physicals, sports physicals and wellness services. Laboratory services and medical imaging are available on-site.

With the growing demand for quality health care in the region, the opening of this clinic is particularly timely, according to Alicia Rizzo, director, ambulatory operations, UW Health.

“This new clinic strengthens our commitment to delivering remarkable care to our communities,” she said. “This convenient location and enhanced care coordination ensures that patients have access to the highest quality care.”

The construction team used a segmented wall panel system to transform a former commercial office space into exam, procedure and diagnostic rooms. Rooms within the clinic have walls and fixtures that can be unmounted and reinstalled, depending on future needs. This is the first UW Health clinic built with this design, which made use of available commercial space and reduced construction costs, according to Mike McKay, director, planning design and construction, UW Health.

“This innovative approach serves as a pilot for how to quickly build flexible and efficient health care spaces in regions where patient demand is growing,” he said.

The UW Health Janesville Clinic will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can schedule appointments in MyChart or by calling the clinic at (608) 916-2600.
