MADISON — Three wrestlers from Janesville Parker and one from Craig will will be in Madison beginning Thursday to compete in the WIAA individual state wrestling championship at the Kohl Center.

Parker is sending sophomore Dominic McGuire at 126 and senior Carter Wesley at 190 pounds in the boys’ tournament.

In the girls’ tournament, Parker’s Katie Kent will wrestle at 185.

Craig sophomore Leo Getchell wrestles at 144 pounds in the boys’ tournament.

The championship matches will be broadcast live beginning at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on WKOW TV Madison.

THE SCHEDULE:  Below is the schedule of competition for the individual tournament. All weight classes will be wrestled in consecutive order through the classes on a “next available mat” basis within the mat assignments.

Div. 1 Boys & Girls Preliminaries – 2 p.m.

Session 4:

Div. 1, 2, 3 & Girls Third-place Matches*
* Third-place and fifth-place matches will run concurrently by weight class within divisions after all consolation matches are completed.

Session 5: 
Boys Division 1 Championships at 5:30 p.m. on mat 1 
Girls Championships at 5:30 p.m. on mat 2
Boys Division 2 Championships at 5:30 p.m. on mat 3 
Boys Division 3 Championships at 5:30 p.m. on mat 4 

FINALS ON STATE TELEVISION NETWORK:  The championship final matches of all three divisions will be aired live on the WIAA State Television Stations WKOW 27.2, WAOW 9.2, WQOW 18.2 and WXOW 19.2, WVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee and WLUK (FOX)/WCWF(CW) in Green Bay/Appleton. The live programming will begin at 5 p.m. The finals will also be streamed live on the Network stations’ websites.
