NESVILLE, WI – The Pistons and Props air and car show returns to Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport on July 18-19, 2025.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 18, open to everyone with a give back to local veterans featuring the All Veterans Reunion from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Presented in partnership with VFW Post 1621, Marine Corps League Detachment 623, and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association 45-9, this event honors those who served and offers free admission for all veterans.
All attendees can enjoy additional Friday features such as a motorcycle show, hot air balloon glow, and live music by End Fight Scene. Tethered hot air balloon rides, airplane rides, and supercar driving experiences will be available for purchase. Food will be provided by Lil Franks BBQ and local veteran-led groups.
Saturday, July 19, is Family Day, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The dedicated children’s area will include bounce houses, carnival games, and an interactive education tent featuring exhibitors such as Women in Aviation, the Kelch Aviation Museum, and Blackhawk Technical College, providing hands-on learning experiences. The event will also feature flyovers from the Cirrus Aircraft Group and Red Star Group, alongside live music performances from The Cashbox Kings and SuperTuesday. Additionally, six historical aircraft will be available for rides, including the B-29 “Doc,” C-47 “That’s All, Brother” (lead aircraft in airborne invasion of Normandy), T-6 Texan, T-34 Mentor, BT-13 Valiant, and L-5 Sentinel. Static aircraft displays, including the AC-47 “Spooky” gunship, will be showcased alongside local aircraft, providing visitors with an up-close look at aviation history.
Enthusiasts are invited to showcase their vehicles alongside vintage aircraft at the Classic Car and Motorcycle Show. Registration is $20 in advance or at the gate and includes two passes to the event on Saturday, July 19. Early registration is encouraged, with the first 100 registrants receiving a special sponsored goodie bag.
