JANESVILLE — Janesville Parker freshman Annabella Joyce got the surprise of her life during AVID class Thursday when her father, TSgt. Patrick Joyce, showed up at school after returning home from a five-month deployment in Japan.
TSgt. Joyce, a member of the Wisconsin Air National Guard, and Annabelle’s mother, Meghan, also went to Franklin Middle School to surprise their son, Brannan, a seventh-grader.
During his deployment, TSgt. Joyce was stationed at Kadena Air Base located in and around Okinawa. It was his fourth deployment so far in his service to the U.S Air Force.
“Congratulations to the Joyce family for being reunited so joyously, and a special THANK YOU to TSgt. Joyce for his continued service to our country,” wrote the school district on its Facebook page.
