JANESVILLE, Wis. – An early morning fire was quickly contained to the porch of a home early Thursday morning.
According to a news release, the Janesville Fire Department was dispatched at 3:05 a.m. Thursday to a single-family residence at 322 E. Centerway for a report of a structure fire.
Arriving units found smoke and flames coming from the attached front porch of the residence.
Firefighters stretched a hoseline to the building and extinguished the fire. A rapid response from the Fire Department contained the fire to the front porch.
The Janesville Fire Department was assisted by the Janesville Police Department and Alliant Energy.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Janesville Fire Department.
