JANESVILLE — The person who sustained life-threatening injuries in a deadly shooting Tuesday in Janesville remains in critical condition at a medical facility, the Janesville Police Department said Friday.

Authorities have revealed these new details about the shooting happened about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Aspen Square Apartments on Janesville’s east side.

The Rock County Medical Examiner identified the three who died as Julia Cvicker, 25; Jahvarius Wicks, 21 and Scott Roberts, 55, all of Janesville.

Authorities say the Rock County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting gunshots from the apartment complex at 2605 N. Pontiac Drive, apartment #7.

As police entered the complex, they discovered one unresponsive adult in the doorway of apartment #7 with a visible gunshot wound.

As officers continued towards apartment #7, they found three additional adults with visible gunshot wound injuries inside the apartment, according to police.

Officers and medical personnel provided immediate care, resulting in one person being transported to a medical facility with life-threatening injuries.

The three others suffering gunshot wounds were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say that one individual shot the three others before taking their own life.

This stems from a domestic relationship between two of the individuals involved, police say.

Notably, no children were present in the apartment at the time of the incident.

The significant police presence at the apartment complex was necessary to secure the crime scene, where a search warrant was later served, according to police.

During this process, officers uncovered evidence, including a firearm, found near one of the deceased individuals.

Police say that due to privacy concerns and the ongoing investigation, they are limited in the information we can release.

Currently, there are no known threats to the public.

No other information will be released, police say.
