Awhile back Bade says she met a man and they had a very brief relationship that didn’t last long. It’s been many months since she had any contact with him.

But now, according to her GoFundMe, Bade has severe nerve damage causing paralysis in her legs and facial/ neck muscles.

She has lost the ability to walk, talk and eat properly along with severe pain and complete loss of her hair.

She’s undergone many gruling and painful treatments and is still fighting her way back to health.

It was back on May 12, 2025, that the Rock County Sheriff’s Office responded to St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville to investigate a possible poisoning.

Along with other agencies, they came to believe that Paul D. VanDuyne Jr. and Andrea L. Whitaker conspired to gather or create elaborate poisons and use them to attempt to murder two different women with whom VanDuyne Jr. had previously been involved with.

As a result of a collaborated effort with local, state, and federal law enforcement and fire/EMS partners, along with the Rock County District Attorney’s Office, arrest warrants for VanDuyne Jr. and Whitaker were issued on June 19, 2025.

The pair are charged with three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and other charges.
