JANESVILLE — A single north and southbound lane of US Highway 51 (Center Avenue and Centerway) through Janesville’s 5-points intersection will reopen Friday.

The move is part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Five Points construction project that is scheduled to shift to Stage 2.

The open lanes will allow north and south traffic to resume travel through the intersection.

Additionally, northbound traffic will be allowed to turn right onto W. Court Street to proceed east into the downtown. The westbound Milwaukee Street leg will remain closed to traffic at this time.

The traffic control layout during Stage 2 will prevent turning left off McKinley Street to proceed south on Center Avenue. During this time, westbound traffic on McKinley Street will only be able to turn right onto Center Avenue.
