JANESVILLE — Two men were seriously injured Monday morning in a head-on crash just east of Janesville.
According to a news release, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Janesville Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and Janesville Fire responded about 6:20 a.m. Monday to a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries at S Highway 14 and E Highway 11.
Investigators say a Saturn Ion, driven by a 22-year-old Janesville man was driving west on Highway 11 and crossed the center line entering the lane for eastbound traffic.
The Saturn collided head on with a Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 34-year-old Janesville man.
As a result of the crash the driver of the Saturn had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Both drivers sustained severe but non-life-threatening injuries, and both were transported to local hospitals.
Currently this crash is still under investigation
