JANESVILLE — The Janesville Catholic Churches that make up St. Jane Parish are participating in the Rock County Jail Chaplaincy project to provide Christmas gifts to children of those in the Rock County Jail.

The St. Jane Frances de Chantal Parish includes St. William, St. John Vianney, St. Mary and St. Patrick.

The program anticipates assisting over 400 children this year. Through this program wrapped gifts are sent to the children on the residents’ behalf.

This has been a long-standing project at some of the churches.

From November 1–17, yellow grocery carts will be in the entry of each of each church where people can place unwrapped toys and gifts for children age infant to age 12.

Gift cards are best for teens, like Target, Walmart, Kohls, etc.

Cash donations and gift certificates can be placed in marked envelopes in any parish collection basket or sent to the Parish Administration Office on Clark Street.

Checks should be made payable to the “Rock County Jail Chaplaincy.” For more information contact the parish office at 608-752-8709 or jvogt@saintjane.org
