JANESVILLE — Janesville Police Officer Sean T. Jauch, is set to retire Dec. 31 after more than 27 years of service to the city including most recently as the school resource officer at Craig.
Jauch was recognized last week by students and staff at Janesville Craig High School (WATCH) as well as a retirement ceremony at the department.
Jauch has served as a member of the JPD since his hire on January 12, 1998. In the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including Patrol Officer, SWAT, SWAT Negotiator, Peer Support, Police Chaplain Liaison, Field Training Officer, Range Officer, Range Coordinator, Motorcycle Unit, and, most recently, School Resource Officer at Janesville Craig High School, according to a news release.
In a statement, the Janesville Police Department acknowledged Jauch for his contributions on several occasions. These recognitions include a Chief’s Commendation in 2014, an Exemplary Service Citation in 2024, and a Police Officer of the Year Award in 2012 and 2024.
