JANESVILLE — The Rock County Medical Examiner on Friday released the name of the man who died following a motor vehicle crash on December 31, 2025.

Forest “Zephyr” A. Morrison 26 Beloit, was pronounced dead at a local hospital the same day.

The crash occurred near Highway 51 and Knilans Road, in the City of Janesville, and was reported to authorities about 4:53 a.m.

Morrison’s mother, Laura, posted on his Facebook page that he was on his way to work at the time.

Preliminary results of the examination confirm that Morrison died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, according to the medial examiner.

Additional testing is underway at this time. This incident remains under investigation by the Janesville Police Department and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department.
