LATEST — A Janesville man faces two possible charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle following an early Saturday morning crash that killed two people.

According to a news release, Janesville Police and Janesville Fire were dispatched about 2:15 a.m. Saturday to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of E. Delavan Drive and Beloit Ave. in Janesville.
 
Investigators say Koty Diaz, 32, Janesville, failed to stop at the red light on Delavan Drive and struck a vehicle traveling north on Beloit Ave. 

Both occupants of the vehicle traveling north on Beloit Ave. were pronounced dead at the scene by the Rock County Medical Examiners Office. 
 
Diaz showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests, according to.police.

He was arrested and a warrant was applied for, and signed, by a Rock County Judge for a blood sample.  The blood results are pending. 
 
The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol Accident Reconstruction Team.

JANESVILLE — The area near the intersection of Delavan Drive and Beloit Avenue in Janesville has reopened following an earlier investigation, police say.

According to scanner traffic, the incident involved a traffic crash at about 2 a.m., Saturday, however officials have yet to release specific details.

The scene cleared shortly before 7 a.m.

Expect more information from police later Saturday morning.
