JANESVILLE — Residents of a duplex are being helped by the Red Cross following a fire early Monday in Janesville.
The Janesville Fire Department responded about 1:30 a.m. for a reported residential fire.
When they arrived, firefighters found a fully involved garage fire that had extended to the interior first floor and attic of the home.
The residents are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The fire was extinguished quickly and the both residences in the duplex were searched.
There were no injuries, according to the fire ddepartment.
The Janesville Fire Department was assisted by mutual aid from Lakeside Fire Protection District, Emergency Callback personnel from the Janesville Fire Department, Janesville Police, and Alliant Energy.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
