TURTLE TOWNSHIP — A 14-year-old is dead and a 41-year-old from Beloit could face charges of 1st degree intentional homicide as authorities continue to investigate a death last Friday in Turtle Township.
According to a news release, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office along with multiple other agencies responded about 8 a.m. last Friday, March 20, for a welfare check in the 2000 block of E. Gorton St. in the Town of Turtle.
When deputies and officers arrived, they discovered a 14-year-old dead inside the residence.
A suspect was identified, and as a result, Tyiece L. Oninski, 41-years-old, of Beloit was arrested for 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, according to police.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the death. More information regarding this investigation will be released at a later date.
