JANESVILLE — After more than four decades serving the cycling community in Rock County, Mike and Ann Genrich announced Saturday their retirement and the next chapter for Michael’s Cycles.
Bryce Mead, owner of the Rockford Trek Bike Shop and several other bike shops in Illinois, has purchased the business, which will be known as Trek Janesville.
Mike and Ann Genrich founded Michael’s Cycles in 1982 at the corner of Rockport Road and Center Avenue in Janesville, Wisconsin. Then in 1993, the business moved to its current location on North Pontiac Drive, where it expanded again in 2001.
