JANESVILLE — Police are on the lookout for a pair of thieves who stole a credit card from a person eating at a local restaurant, then went to a nearby electronics store and rang up thousands in purchases.

Police on Monday released the photos above of the man they suspect is involved in the thefts.

According to the Janesville Police Department, a man and woman were eating at Olive Garden in Janesville about 6 p.m. Monday evening.

Police say the couple then stole a wallet from a purse hanging on the victim’s chair.

The suspects quickly left Olive Garden and went to Best Buy where the man used two of the victim’s credit cards to buy two Apple Mac Books for a total value of $5,274.90.

There is no known vehicle description at this time. Police will have felony fraudulent use of credit card charges on the man.
