JANESVILLE — A garage was destroyed Wednesday after being consumed by fire on Janesville’s far south side toward Afton.
According to a news release from Janesville Fire Fighters 580, Janesville Fire responded to the 3900 block of County Rd. D for a fully involved detached garage fire.
Engine 813 and Medic 843 from Station #3 were first on scene and got an initial fire knock down with a 2-1/2 handline.
Engine 812 and Medic 842 from Station #2, along with Tender 861 from Station #1 also responded to provided fire attack support and assist with overhaul operations.
Photos from the scene show the garage completely destroyed, along with at least one car inside.
There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation.
Footville Fire responded as mutual aid with a tender and Rock County Sheriff Office also assisted.
