JANESVILLE — As the walls go up on the new Girls and Boys Club of Janesville, planning continues for when the new facility is up and running.
The club recently shared photos on its Facebook page of the progress of the building at 925 S. Jackson St.
Currently, staff is:
- Finalizing designs with the playground vendor
- Updating signage for the building’s exterior and interior
- Planning a new staffing structure
- Mapping out what daily operations will look like in the brand-new space
While work continues, the Capital Campaign is in the final stages. Here’s how the community can help. LINK
The Boys and Girls Club of Janesville is constructing the new 35,000-square-foot facility to triple its youth capacity and provide expanded after-school programs, a commercial kitchen, a playground, and a dedicated teen wing with workforce development resources, aiming to open in Fall 2026.
The project, which began with a groundbreaking thus past spring, addresses a critical need for affordable childcare and aims to create a safe, enriching environment to foster academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development for youth in Janesville.
