JANESVILLE — The grand opening for the new Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Milton Avenue is set for Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, in Janesville.
The celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m.
The store takes over the former Big Lots space next to Planet Fitness.
As America’s fastest growing retailer of brand name closeouts and excess inventory, Ollie’s sells brand name merchandise at up to 70 percent below traditional retail, according to a news release.
The news release goes on to say shoppers of every age will find an ever-changing assortment of deals across a wide range of categories including housewares, food, bed and bath, health and beauty, books, toys, lawn and garden, seasonal décor & so much more.

In addition to bringing deals to communities, Ollie’s says every store creates up to 50-60 local jobs, including cashiers, managers, and store leaders.
