JANESVILLE — Despite his narrow loss in last Tuesday’s election, Colton Measner will take a seat on the School District of Janesville Board of Education anyway.

Measner was appointed Tuesday to the seat of Commissioner Susan Johnson, who had been on the board since April 2024.

Johnson resigned because she is moving outside of the district’s boundaries.

The Board voted on his appointment during its meeting Tuesday. Measner will serve until April 2027.

A Joseph A. Craig High School graduate, Measner Measner previously ran for school board in 2024 and 2025.
