JANESVILLE — A 91-year-old pedestrian was airlifted to a Madison hospital Thursday morning with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle, police say.
According to a news release, Janesville Police and Fire were dispatched about 7:30 a.m. Thursday to what was was called in as a traffic crash with injury in the 300 block of W. Delavan Drive.
Police say a vehicle leaving a business parking lot struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk.
The 91-year-old victim was transported to Mercy Hospital and later taken by Med Flight to UW Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. The crash is still being investigated and no charges are being filed at this time.
