JANESVILLE — The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office says that Kevin L. Miller, 57, Janesville is the man found dead inside his home following a fire Aug. 22.
According to a news release following the fire, the Janesville Fire Department responded to the 1800 block of Memorial Drive at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024 to assist Janesville police for a welfare check and found that the residence had a interior fire within the previous 12 hours.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no active fire or smoke upon arrival, however there was fire and smoke damage throughout the home.
The fire appeared to go out on its own due to lack of oxygen it needed to continue burning.
