JANESVILLE — Rock County Get Together, a free, family friendly event, will celebrate the community with entertainment, foods and activities from the various ethnic and racial groups from throughout Rock County.

Activities run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, inside and outside the Janesville Performing Arts Center, 408 S. Main St., Janesville.

Organizers say this not an overtly political event, but a response to the criticism that emphasizing people’s differences divides our society.

They say they believe residents of our county can be united in enjoying each other’s cultures. The intent is to provide a safe, free event open to all.
