JANESVILLE — Edmund Halibi says that after 38 years in business, he’ll be slowing down and handing over the reins to the iconic Italian House restaurant to two of his three sons.
But “slowing down” for Halibi is quite different than most people.
In a social media post last week, Halibi marked the businesses 38th anniversary by thanking the community.
“When so much gets invested in a business,” he wrote, “the community becomes the ultimate judge and jury.”
Halibi says the Italian House remains in excellent hands.
He says his dedicated staff and two of his three sons, Brandon and Jordan, are on board to carry on the legacy.
Halibi announced he’s going to slow down from 80 hours a week to 60 and then 40.
Of course that’s only a typical work week for most people, highlighting Halibi’s dedication to the community.
