JANESVILLE — La Keta Cruz has launched an online fundraising drive to help her sister and those who lost everything in a fire Monday night at their multi-family apartment in Janesville.
According to the fundraiser, Cruz’s sister, Samantha Colby, along with five others, including a 2-year-old were displaced by the fire that broke out shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday.”
“While we are profoundly grateful that all six of them have survived, including all of their pets,” Cruz wrote.
However one person was med-flighted due to 3rd degree burns and remains hospitalized.
All their possessions were lost due to extreme smoke, a heavy fire, and significant water damage, Cruz said. Your support will directly provide them with kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom items, as well as everything a 2-year-old needs.
