JANESVILLE — Students at St. John Vianney School, Roosevelt Elementary School and St. Paul’s Lutheran School were released about 4 p.m. Tuesday following an earlier hold as police continued to investigate a nearby shots-fired incident.
Police say the incident in the area of the 300 block of Clark Street appears to be isolated between known parties.
Once police determined there was no known threat to the public, students were released.
Additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident will be released as they become available.
A hold means that normal activities inside the schools may continue, but movement in and out of the buildings is temporarily restricted.
