JANESVILLE — Three workers were hospitalized Wednesday, including two who were Medflighted to a Madison hospital burn center, following an industrial accident in Janesville.
According to a news release, the Janesville Fire Department responded about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday to the 100 Block of Innovation Drive for a report of an industrial accident that injured three workers.
When they arrived, fire crews evacuated three patients to waiting ambulances with the assistance of Janesville Police.
Two patients were transported to Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport where UW Medflight crews transported them to UW Hospital Burn Center for specialty care.
A third patient was transported by JFD Ambulance to Mercy Trauma Center in Janesville.
Fire crews assessed the affected equipment, damaged by an over pressurization accident, and isolated it within the facility.
Emergency crews responded to a similar incident Feb. 11 at the same location.
