JANESVILLE — Due to recurring washouts and accumulation of debris on Ruger Avenue, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has closed Ruger Avenue from S. Pontiac Drive to Greendale Drive.
According to a news release, the closure will remain in place through Friday, June 12.
WisDOT has hired a contractor to complete emergency repairs in this area to repair and restore the damage that occurred with the April 17 flooding.
The emergency repair work is scheduled to begin this week. There is no posted detour during the closure. The dates for the closure are weather-dependent and subject to change.
