JANESVILLE — The Janesville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two 16-year-old juveniles who were reported as runaways on May 28, 2026.
On May 28, 2026, patrol officers investigated a juvenile runaway complaint reported by both parents.
The juveniles, Pamela Torres-Castellanos and Liliana Garcia-Barranco (pictured), were picked up by a mutual friend at approximately 11:45 a.m. and dropped off near the Van Galder Bus Terminal (3120 N. Pontiac Dr.) in Janesville. Both juveniles purchased one-way bus tickets to Chicago, Illinois.
A Van Galder bus driver later confirmed that both females exited the bus at approximately 3:30 p.m. near Union Station in Chicago. During the investigation, officers reviewed information from a school-issued laptop, which indicated the juveniles planned to run away.
Family members of both juveniles have been cooperative throughout the investigation.
