JANESVILLE — Expect plenty of activity overhead this weekend as the Props & Pistons Airshow returns to the sky above the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.
Pistons & Props 2026 brings two full days of airshow excitement to Janesville, featuring aerobatics, warbirds, supercars and family fun all weekend.
The annual event takes place Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 29-30, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Preshow begins at 12:45 p.m.
Jet Truck — 12:45 p.m.
Airshow begins at 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Air National Guard’s F-35A Lightning II will make a special fly-by during the show, brought by the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard from Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin.
This is a fly-by pass over the show grounds during the airshow rather than a full aerobatic demonstration — a rare chance to see and hear America’s newest fifth-generation stealth fighter overhead.
Due to FAA regulations surrounding the airshow, several local roadways around the airport will be periodically closed to traffic.
Roadways expected to be impacted include W. Knilans Road, which will be closed to traffic throughout the airshow, S. Oakhill Road will have restricted access in the area of the airport and W. Happy Hollow Road will be closed from Happy Hollow Park to S. River Road during flight times.
Access to Glen Erin Golf Course will remain open from Airport Road.
Beyond the road closures, event traffic is expected to be heavy and will cause several delays in both directions on the Highway 51 corridor and it is also expected to cause further back-ups on Highway 11.
