JANESVILLE — Janesville police are seeking a man armed with a knife who threatened two people in their vehicle and slashed their tires Friday afternoon at Riverside Park.

According to a news release, Janesville Police were sent about 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 22 to Riverside Park, near the baseball diamonds and splash pad, for an armed subject complaint. 

Two victims were inside of their vehicle when an unknown man came up and opened the door.  The suspect then produced a knife and began making obscene demands.
 
One of the victims was able to shove the man away from the car.  The suspect then used the knife to puncture the tires on the victim’s vehicle. 

The man was last seen walking towards the northwest, towards the kid’s sand pit play area.
 
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, approximately 5’08, scraggly beard, and rotting teeth.  He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie that had writing similar to “Frank”, red gloves, and a black baseball hat.
